North London Waste Authority

Why us?

North London Waste Authority (NLWA) is the statutory waste disposal authority for seven north London boroughs. Our mission is to preserve resources and the environment for future generations by exemplary planning, innovation, and communication in managing north London’s waste. We serve two million residents and run communications and engagement campaigns to help them reduce their rubbish and recycle more. We campaign for government and industry action to reduce unnecessary single-use items, encourage reuse, and repair and promote effective recycling.

NLWA prides itself on being a unique organisation and values the qualities that each person brings to the team. It’s an exciting time to join us, as the team grows and takes on more challenges. We are an inclusive organisation that encourages diversity in all respects, including diversity of thinking. We’ll help you grow, learn, improve, and innovate to achieve success in all that you do, and we hope you can do the same for us.
