Our recruitment process allows you to demonstrate your skills and motivation towards a career in local government. We will assess you against a number of behaviours or skills which have been identified as key for successful performance as a finance trainee.These behaviours are: Planning and Organising, Teamwork, Communicating / Influencing, Analysis of Data and Information, Problem Solving, Personal Effectiveness and Organisational / Cultural Awareness of local government.

the application process for 2009

The recruitment process comprises the following stages: submission of an online application form, completion of a numerical reasoning test, a telephone interview and attendance at an assessment centre held in central London. The final stage of the process is an interview at two of your preferred participating Boroughs. The process will be completed by Easter and start dates will be between May and August depending on your availability.
